LIEUX SECRETS BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS

Thank you for choosing Lieux Secrets to help create your travel experience. These Booking Terms & Conditions apply to travel services booked, arranged, or purchased through Lieux Secrets, including group trips, solo trips, birthday group trips, destination weddings, flights, hotels, excursions, transportation, and other travel-related services.
By submitting a booking, paying a deposit, planning fee, installment, or full payment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
- BOOKING & RESERVATIONS
Your reservation is not considered confirmed until Lieux Secrets has received the required deposit, planning fee, or payment and you have received confirmation of your booking. You are responsible for providing accurate information, including your full legal name exactly as it appears on your passport or government-issued identification. If you make a reservation on behalf of other travelers, you confirm that you have permission to provide their information and accept these terms on their behalf.
Travelers are responsible for reviewing all booking information immediately and notifying Lieux Secrets of any errors.
- PLANNING FEES
Certain customized services, including Birthday Group Trips and Destination Weddings, require a $99 planning fee before the planning process begins. When stated on your booking, the $99 planning fee will be applied toward your trip payment if you proceed with the applicable trip. Planning fees compensate Lieux Secrets for consultation, research, itinerary development, supplier coordination, and other planning services.
Unless otherwise stated in writing, planning fees are non-refundable once planning services have begun.
- DEPOSITS & PAYMENT PLANS
Each trip may have its own deposit amount and payment schedule. The applicable amounts and deadlines will be displayed on the trip page, checkout page, invoice, or booking confirmation. Deposits secure your reservation and are generally non-refundable unless expressly stated otherwise.
If a payment plan is offered, you are responsible for making every payment by its stated due date. Submitting your initial payment constitutes acceptance of the payment schedule associated with your booking.
- FINAL PAYMENT
Your final balance must be paid by the deadline provided on your booking confirmation or invoice. Failure to make the final payment by the required deadline may result in cancellation of your reservation and forfeiture of payments already made. Bookings made close to the departure date may require payment in full at the time of booking.
- LATE & MISSED PAYMENTS
Payments must be made according to the agreed payment schedule.
If you anticipate difficulty making a scheduled payment, contact Lieux Secrets as soon as possible and before the payment deadline. Lieux Secrets may cancel reservations with outstanding or repeatedly missed payments. Any reinstatement of a canceled reservation is subject to availability and may result in additional fees or updated supplier pricing.
- CANCELLATIONS BY THE TRAVELER
All cancellation requests must be submitted to Lieux Secrets in writing. Unless your specific trip agreement states otherwise, deposits, planning fees, and payments made toward travel arrangements may be non-refundable, particularly after funds have been paid or committed to hotels, airlines, tour operators, transportation providers, or other suppliers. Each trip may have additional cancellation terms, which will be displayed before booking.
Lieux Secrets strongly recommends purchasing comprehensive travel insurance, including appropriate trip-cancellation coverage.
- TRIP TRANSFERS
Requests to transfer payments from one Lieux Secrets group trip to another will be reviewed individually and are not guaranteed.
Approval depends on factors including the departure date, supplier contracts, availability, amounts already paid to suppliers, and the terms of the new trip. Administrative or supplier change fees may apply. Payments already committed to non-refundable suppliers may not be transferable which typically is the case by the time bookings are out on our website.
- CHANGES OR CANCELLATIONS BY LIEUX SECRETS
Travel arrangements occasionally need to change because of circumstances outside the reasonable control of Lieux Secrets. Lieux Secrets reserves the right to make reasonable changes to accommodations, activities, transportation, schedules, restaurants, excursions, or other itinerary components when necessary.
When possible, we will attempt to provide a comparable alternative. If Lieux Secrets cancels or reschedules a trip, the options available to travelers will depend on the circumstances, supplier policies, amounts recoverable from suppliers, and the specific terms associated with that trip.
Lieux Secrets is not responsible for independently purchased airfare, visas, insurance, vaccinations, missed work, or other expenses resulting from a trip cancellation, postponement, or change.
- ITINERARY CHANGES
The itinerary displayed for a trip represents the planned experience but may change.
Weather, transportation delays, supplier availability, local conditions, government restrictions, safety considerations, or other circumstances may require modifications. Lieux Secrets reserves the right to substitute hotels, activities, restaurants, transportation, or experiences when reasonably necessary. No refund will be provided solely because of a reasonable itinerary adjustment or substitution of comparable value.
- UNUSED SERVICES
No refunds or credits will be provided for accommodations, activities, meals, transportation, excursions, or other services that a traveler voluntarily misses or chooses not to use. This includes missed services resulting from late arrival, early departure, illness, personal decisions, or failure to arrive at the designated meeting point on time.
- FLIGHTS & AIRFARE
Unless specifically stated as included in a group-trip package, airfare is not included.
When Lieux Secrets books airfare on your behalf, airline rules, restrictions, baggage policies, change fees, cancellation policies, and refund rules apply. Flight schedules are controlled by airlines and may change without notice. Lieux Secrets is not responsible for airline delays, cancellations, schedule changes, missed connections, lost baggage, or other airline-related disruptions. Travelers should carefully verify their names, dates, airports, and flight details before ticketing.
- HOTEL BOOKINGS
Hotel reservations are subject to the individual property’s availability, policies, cancellation rules, resort fees, security deposits, taxes, and other applicable charges. Unless specifically included in your booking, incidental expenses and charges incurred at the property are the traveler’s responsibility.
- PASSPORTS, VISAS & ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Travelers are solely responsible for ensuring they have all documentation necessary for travel.
This may include:
Valid passports
Visas or electronic travel authorizations
Vaccination documentation
Entry or transit permits
Required health documentation
Any other documentation required by the destination or transit country
Your passport should meet the validity requirements of every country you will visit or transit through.
Entry requirements can change at any time. Travelers are responsible for checking current requirements with the appropriate government authorities. Lieux Secrets is not responsible if a traveler is denied boarding or entry because of missing, expired, incorrect, or insufficient documentation.
- TRAVEL INSURANCE
Lieux Secrets strongly recommends that every traveler purchase comprehensive travel insurance immediately after booking.
Coverage should be considered for:
Trip cancellation or interruption
Emergency medical expenses
Emergency evacuation
Flight delays or cancellations
Lost or delayed baggage
Unexpected travel disruptions
Travel insurance policies contain exclusions and limitations. Travelers are responsible for reviewing their policy and determining whether the coverage meets their needs. Lieux Secrets does not guarantee that an insurance company will approve a particular claim.
- MEDICAL CONDITIONS & SPECIAL REQUESTS
Travelers are responsible for determining whether they are physically and medically able to participate in their selected trip and activities.
Please notify Lieux Secrets of relevant accessibility needs, dietary restrictions, or other special requests as early as possible. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate requests to applicable suppliers, but fulfillment cannot be guaranteed. Travelers should consult an appropriate healthcare professional regarding vaccinations, medications, medical concerns, or their fitness to travel.
- TRAVELER CONDUCT
Travelers participating in Lieux Secrets group experiences are expected to respect fellow travelers, local communities, accommodations, guides, staff, and suppliers.
Illegal, threatening, abusive, dangerous, severely disruptive, or inappropriate behavior may result in removal from an activity or trip. A traveler removed because of their conduct will be responsible for any additional transportation, accommodation, or other expenses incurred and may not be entitled to a refund for unused portions of the trip.
Travelers are responsible for damage they cause to hotels, transportation, venues, or other property.
- THIRD-PARTY TRAVEL SUPPLIERS
Lieux Secrets works with independent suppliers including airlines, hotels, resorts, cruise lines, tour operators, transportation companies, restaurants, guides, excursion providers, and other travel businesses.
These businesses are independent entities and are not employees of Lieux Secrets. Their individual terms, cancellation policies, restrictions, and conditions may apply to your reservation. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Lieux Secrets is not responsible for acts, omissions, service failures, schedule changes, cancellations, or other circumstances caused by independent travel suppliers.
- PRICING
Travel pricing can change because of airfare, hotel rates, exchange rates, taxes, government fees, fuel charges, supplier pricing, availability, or other travel-related costs.
Prices displayed before a reservation is confirmed may change without notice. If a supplier imposes a new mandatory government tax or similar charge after booking, the traveler may be responsible for that additional amount where permitted by law and the applicable booking terms.
- PROMOTIONS & DISCOUNTS
Promotional pricing, discount codes, special offers, and other incentives are subject to their individual terms and availability. Unless specifically stated otherwise, promotions cannot be combined or retroactively applied to reservations that were previously booked.
- FORCE MAJEURE
Lieux Secrets will not be responsible for delays, changes, cancellations, losses, or inability to perform services resulting from circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
These circumstances may include severe weather, natural disasters, epidemics or pandemics, war, terrorism or threats of terrorism, civil unrest, strikes, government actions, border closures, transportation interruptions, supplier failures, fires, or other extraordinary events. In these circumstances, refunds or credits may depend on amounts actually recoverable from the applicable travel suppliers.
- ASSUMPTION OF TRAVEL RISK
Travel involves inherent risks, including illness, injury, transportation disruptions, unfamiliar environments, weather conditions, and participation in recreational or adventure activities.
By participating, travelers acknowledge and accept the ordinary and inherent risks associated with their travel arrangements and selected activities. Travelers are responsible for deciding whether individual activities are appropriate for them.
- PHOTOS & SOCIAL MEDIA
During Lieux Secrets group trips, photographs and videos may be captured for memories, marketing, social media, website content, and promotional purposes. Where required, appropriate consent will be obtained before identifiable traveler images are used for promotional purposes. Travelers who have concerns about appearing in promotional content should notify Lieux Secrets before departure.
- COMPLAINTS & CONCERNS
If you experience a problem during your trip, please notify Lieux Secrets or the applicable travel representative as soon as reasonably possible so there is an opportunity to assist. Concerns submitted after travel should be made in writing and should include relevant booking information and details regarding the issue.
- ACCURACY OF INFORMATION
Travelers are responsible for providing accurate names, birth dates, contact details, passport information, and other information required for their reservation. Costs resulting from incorrect information supplied by the traveler—including airline name-change or re-ticketing fees—are the traveler’s responsibility.
- ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By paying a planning fee, deposit, installment, or full balance for a Lieux Secrets service, you acknowledge that you have:
Read these Booking Terms & Conditions;
Had the opportunity to ask questions before booking;
Reviewed the applicable itinerary, inclusions, exclusions, pricing, and payment schedule;
Provided accurate traveler information; and
Agreed to the terms applicable to your reservation.
